McLeod John Baltazar Bethel-Thompson (born July 3, 1988) is an American football quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He is the grandson of the 1948 Olympic shot put champion Wilbur 'Moose' Thompson. He is also of Scottish and Salvadoran descent through his grandmother. ==High School== Bethel-Thompson graduated from San Francisco's Balboa High School in 2006, where he played football, basketball, and baseball.
